CONTROL ZONE

Hey Boomers!

So, how did everyone enjoy their summer? Did everyone have as hectic a time as me? Between organising the 20th anniversary celebrations and getting the humes all ready for our upcoming issues, I haven’t stopped since springtime!

I’m sure you know how this goes by now! We catch Sonic in the Emerald Hill Zone, trying his best to keep his head down. What’s the worst that could happen if he has a quick nap in the park? No-one knows who Bob Beaky is, right?

Making his long awaited return to STC is Silver the Hedgehog! We’ve had an overwhelming amount of people asking when he’s coming back, so join Tails and the Ultimax as they meet up with the time travelling hero and correct him on his history in Silver Landing!

And we’ve got Sonic’s World topping off the strips this issue, in a quieter area of Mobius, be prepared to meet Toby. A schoolchild who is about to have an encounter with the World’s Worst Villain…

Our hallowe’en strip this year comes in the form of a solo outing for Amy Rose, where she sets about discovering the truth behind The Curse of Silent Spire! Set about it with her… If you dare!

Oh, and one more strip: it’s time to get down, get funky and lock that dial to the best news station around: Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaace Channel 5!

The Story So Far...

Sonic the Hedgehog is now public enemy number one thanks to the smear campaign of the KBC news network! Now on the run, accused of crimes that he didn’t commit, Sonic’s got a price on his head… and there are some that are quick enough to collect!

Sonic the Hedgehog

Sonic's on the run and really feeling the stress. With big money on his head, he's bound to attract the wrong kind of attention! Fighting for freedom has gotten a whole lot harder!

The Babylon Rogues

A trio of birds who use their Extreme Gear hoverboards to ride the winds to victory! Jet The Hawk, Wave the Swallow and Storm the Albatross have heard of the big reward on Sonic's head, and they aim to cash in!

Tails

Tails is now the new hero of Mobius and working closely with the Ultimax team. He's tougher than some people think!

Silver

A time traveling hedgehog sent 70 years back into the past to stop the Iblis Trigger, the creature that will bring Mobius to it's knees! Accompanied by his wrist mounted computer "AG", Silver has to track down the Iblis Trigger before history repeats itself!

The Ultimax

Software "genius" Dexter "Codex" Bagstille, the hyper Holly "Jumpinjax" Thumpfoot and the tough yet cultured Theodore Abram 'Theo' Spartacus make the Ultimax. They have hopes of becoming heroes with the help of Tails (although Dexter seems to think they can manage without him).

Amy Rose

Amy is a gutsy freedom fighter and along with Tails, leads the charge in the war against Robotnik, doing everything she can to help the people of Mobius take on Robotnik! Even at this spooky time of year, Amy ain't afraid of no ghosts, but what about a curse...?

Space Channel 5

THE STORY SO FAR…

In 2499 AD, the alien race known as the Morolians invaded the galaxy and started forcing people to dance! Galactic news station Space Channel 5 sent then unknown reporter Ulala to bring in the news, save the hostages and beat the Morolians, while simultaneously fighting off rival reporters to get the scoop. Having saved the day from the dance epidemic and gone on to win awards for her investigation of the “Rhythm Rogues” and their army of robots, Ulala is now one of the biggest reporters in the star system and there’s no story too big for her and the news team of Space Channel 5!

Ulala

Space Channel 5’s top reporter, presenting “Ulala’s Swinging Report Show”. This foxy investigator is considered by her many fans to be the best reporter in the universe!

Fuse

The broadcaster of Space Channel 5 and Ulala’s boss. Fuse works on board Ulala’s spaceship and while this guy prefers to keep himself out of the public eye, his groovy voice can often be heard relaying instructions to Ulala!

Pudding

A former teen idol and now rival reporter over at Channel 42, Pudding has many adoring fans, yet still harbours a strong jealousy towards Ulala – and she’ll do just about anything to beat Space Channel 5 in the ratings!

Morolians

An alien race from the planet Morodia, led by their leader Boss Hoorg. By the time Ulala had stopped their invasion plans it turned out to be something of a misunderstanding, which led to the Morolians making peace and starting to integrate into life in the galaxy, with Boss Hoorg becoming something of a celebrity in his own right… where next for the aliens with a literal face for TV?
