CONTROL ZONE

Hey Boomers!

It might have been a summer to forget with heavy rains and storms, but you can rely on STC to brighten up your day, as the evenings start to get colder again.

This issue, it’s action overload for all your old favourites, including the Chaotix Crew, Shortfuse the Cybernik and the mysterious Shadow! Kicking things off this issue, Sonic and Knuckles find the Special Zone under threat in Something Wicked This Way Comes, the first in a thrilling new 7 part story. Don’t forget to watch out for the new adventures of Shortfuse and Tekno, as well: the crime fighting pair are back in Return of the Cybernik.

As usual, don’t miss a sensational selection of pin-ups, including a computer animated Tekno!

DATA ZONE

The Story So Far...

Villainous echidna Doctor Zachary has gathered together a group of outlaws, called the Syndicate. Rouge’s attempt to steal the powerful Chaos Emeralds failed, and they were warped back to the Special Zone. Sonic and Knuckles must retrieve them before the Syndicate can use its mysterious new weapon: the being known only as Shadow.

Sonic the Hedgehog

Sonic is the super-fast hero of Mobius, and leads a gang of freedom fighters. He is totally committed to keeping Planet Mobius and its people safe. When Sonic loses his cool though, he risks turning into Super Sonic.

Tails

Tails is an optimistic young fox who uses his two tails to fly for short periods. He idolises Sonic but has also become a respected hero in his own right - if only Sonic would notice!

Amy Rose

Although Amy first met Sonic when she was claiming to be Sonic's girlfriend, she has since proved a hero in her own right with her trusty crossbow. She has a wicked sense of humour and loves winding Sonic up!

Knuckles

Knuckles is the sole guardian of the Floating Island and its powerful Chaos Emeralds. He is willing to do whatever it takes to keep the Chaos Emeralds safe.

Dr. Robotnik

A laboratory accident long ago turned the kindly Professor Kintobor into the evil Doctor Robotnik! Now muted and driven mad from years of defeat, Robotnik has been rescued from his asylum...

The Syndicate

This sinister group of villains is responsible for reawakening Shadow, believing him to be the creature destined to end the world.

The Chaotix Crew

Technology wizard Vector the Crocodile, super-strong Mighty, sneaky Espio the Chameleon and barmy Charmy Bee are the Guardians of the Special Zone, the Chaotix crew.

Shortfuse

Shorty is a hot-headed squirrel who was trapped in the armour of a badnik super soldier by Robotnik. With his stubborn personality, he was able to turn against Robotnik. Now, he's been freed from his Cybernik armour.

Tekno

Tekno is a scientific genius who has a workshop in the Emerald Hill Zone. Her gadgets have saved Sonic's life on many occasions.
